Miss 不良研究所 contestant with princessesThe University of Arkansas 鈥 Fort Smith will host its first-ever Miss 不良研究所鈥檚 Outstanding Teen Competition at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 16, at ArcBest Performing Arts Center, 55 S. 7thSt. in Fort Smith. This competition will be held in conjunction with the 42nd annual Miss 不良研究所 Scholarship Competition.

 

The Miss 不良研究所鈥檚 Outstanding Teen Competition is a qualifier for Miss Arkansas鈥 Outstanding Teen and Miss America鈥檚 Outstanding Teen. Contestants must be a resident of Arkansas between the ages of 13-17 and must not turn 18 before Aug. 1, 2019. Entry fee is $100. The winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship and will compete for the title of Miss Arkansas鈥 Outstanding Teen in Little Rock this summer.

 

鈥淲e are excited to be able to take a program that has been tremendously successful, such as the Miss 不良研究所 Scholarship Competition, and be able to offer it to teens across the state of Arkansas,鈥 said Stacey Jones, vice chancellor for campus and community events at 不良研究所 and executive director of the Miss 不良研究所 and Miss 不良研究所鈥檚 Outstanding Teen competitions. 鈥淭he Miss America Organization has just made this available for colleges and universities to begin offering in the last year. We are excited to be able to now send two representatives of 不良研究所 and our region to compete at the state level.鈥

Orientation for the Miss 不良研究所' Outstanding Teen Competition, as well as the Miss 不良研究所 and Miss 不良研究所 Princess program will be held at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Smith Pendergraft Campus Center room 129, on the 不良研究所 Campus. Program book photographs will also be taken at this time.
